The see through frames.

After printing onto clear plastic within a frame during the ‘I Wish I Cried More’ project and really liking the way the image blends into the background almost like its painted directly on the wall, I explored this concept further with some drawing projects.

This initial drawing was completed as a piece that was sold to a cafe in Canterbury to hang.

I noticed the shadows that are created thanks to clear medium, and this inspired me to further the concept by finding a way to light the image from behind.

Combining Industrial design skills with art.

I bought a new frame as well as LED strips, I then repainted the inside of the frame white for light reflections, measured and cut holes for the LED’s and cut an additional two white card inner frames to conceal the lights along the bottom. This is the result.
