Digital fabrication bin
This project involved designing a bespoke bin for the Monash Digi fab area to catch and collect all the off cut pieces from 3D prints and laser cut items.
After observing multiple areas around the Monash campus looking for spaces that could be improved. The digi-fab area clearly had a rubbish issue as many people are creating lots of small pieces and often not moving them over to the bins. Hence I set out to create a practical bin solutions designed for collect small off cut pieces.

Taking inspiration from house gutters

Using magnets to hide under table
easy to fill,
easy to empty.
Combining magnets, cut wooden pole and custom 3D printed parts, the bin can slide up and down the table to the desired area and easily removed to be emptied.
